Welcome to Woodridge Elementary

Dear Woodridge Families,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  I am excited to begin my journey with you at Woodridge Elementary. After a long summer. I look forward to working with staff, students, parents, and community members around our shared mission of meeting the academic and social needs of our students. It’s going to be a great school year and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with each student and their family.

The staff here at Woodridge our excited to help support your child’s school experience. Our goal is to provide an exciting, safe, and positive learning environment full of rigorous learning experiences.  Our students deserve our very best efforts on a daily basis.  We want our students to work hard and to be prepared for their future! Together, our high expectations will help every student reach his/her full potential as a student and developing young community member. We want all students to be prepared to successfully pursue a post-secondary education at the college or technical school of their choice. Woodridge is a learning community where we strive to “Unleash the inner Awesomeness” of every child!

Your child’s school success is highly dependent upon the relationship that exists between parent, teacher, and child.  On-going collaboration between the home and school is essential to your child’s academic and social success.  We invite you to be involved at Woodridge Elementary, so together we can show your child the value and importance of a successful school experience.  At Woodridge we have a very effective volunteer program and an exceptionally supportive PTSO.  There are many avenues for parents to get involved.  We’d love to have you volunteer in our classrooms or help at one of the many school functions throughout the school year.  Please stop by our school office at any time to fill out volunteer paperwork and to find out how you can help and get involved.
