At Salk Middle School we offer engaging musical opportunities in Choir, Band, Orchestra, and African Drums. Follow the linked pages in the side bar to the ensemble you wish to explore. March is Music in Our Schools Month! The Jazz Band and Pop Strings will kick things off with an appearance at River Park Square to celebrate First Friday Spokane on Friday, March 3rd. We will be providing music from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on the food court stage. Come check it out!
The orchestras will perform at Salk for our home audience on Wednesday, March 15th at 7 pm in preparation for our appearance at the SFNEMEA Large Group Orchestra Festival.
The SFNEMEA Large Group Orchestra Festival will be held at Deer Park High School, March 20-22. Performance times and date TBA.
Our bands will perform at Salk for our festival concert on Wednesday, March 22nd at 7 pm.
The SFNEMEA Large Group Band Festival will be held at Whitworth University, March 29-30. Salks Band perform on Thursday, March 30th. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Zero Hour Opportunities:
Our Jazz Bands and Pop Strings begin the first week of October and run through June.
Monday/Thursday, 7:45-8:45 am- Jazz Band 2, this ensemble is open to all!
Wednesday/Friday, 7:45-8:45 am- Jazz Band 1, this is our audition band.
Monday/Thursday, 7:45-8:45 am- Pop Strings.
