 Student Strategies
  • All students will have access to planned, grade-level defined technology integrated curriculum for progressive student technology skill development, aligned to CCSS and content standards, WA State Educational Technology Standards, technology literacy skills assessments (in 6th,8th, &10th grade) and for T-2-4 readiness.
  • Students will have regular and reliable access to technology to support their learning.
  • Students will use technology to create, communicate, collaborate, and problem-solve in an engaging and meaningful learning environment.  Students will be able to transfer current knowledge to new and emerging technologies.
Teacher Strategies
  • Support a minimum of Tier 2 technology integration for new and current teachers.
  • New teacher technology integration professional development.
  • Technology integration proficiency component embedded into all professional development. 
Technology Integrated Curriculum Strategies
  • Curriculum will be integrated with meaningful technology learning goals and targets for all grade levels and content areas.
  • The district will provide the technology required to meet the needs of CCSS, NGSS, other content and WA State Ed Tech standards integrated into curriculum, assessment, professional development, and online teacher and student resources.
  • Teachers will be prepared to help students create, communicate, collaborate, problem solve and demonstrate their learning using Tier 2 and 3 instructional strategies and to achieve technology infused student learning outcomes.
  • Support will be identified for students and parents to have access to the technology, support, and curricular resources for technology infused learning outcomes.
Technology Integration Skills of Building Administrators Strategies
  • Establish an annual growth goal based on technology proficiency assessments
  • Strategically focused administrator meeting modeling and professional development that combines skills to maximize time and learning
  • Administrator professional development options (to include menu and differentiated strategies), in face-to-face and webinar sessions during summer and throughout the school year
 Technology Literacy for Office Staff Strategies
  • Promoting professional mindset, keeping job skills current, and providing opportunities for growth and life-long learning.
  • Establish minimum levels of technology literacy for each Office Staff position (Secretaries, Office Managers, Data Processors, Library/Bookroom Clerks).
  • Professional development opportunities to keep technology literacy skills current.
  • Establishment of basic norms and expectations for creation and maintenance of student records (electronic and hard-copy).
Technology Literacy for Educational Support Personnel Strategies
  • Establish minimum levels of technology literacy for each Educational Support Personnel position.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to keep technology literacy skills current.
